Schools grow by leaps and bounds as users Leap into Learning @your library®! Let us show you how your school district can increase success by advocating for your librarians’ changing roles as educational leader, professional developer, and collaborator.

Librarians serve as leaders in their schools by taking an active role in educating students and enlightening teachers. They lead by helping teachers meet curricular goals and through the modeling of research-based practices.

When librarians and teachers collaborate, students are more motivated to participate and complete assignments. Research shows that student engagement increases and, as a result, so does achievement.

Student achievement increases as they delve into twenty-first century skills. Librarians work with teachers to introduce tools that will help students be successful both now and in the future.

Librarians help keep teachers up to date with the latest educational information and offer ideas for implementation. Librarians conduct professional development sessions to teach and encourage teachers to use this new information.

Librarians inform teachers about the latest technology tools and provide opportunities to utilize them in the classroom. As librarians learn about new applications, they collaborate with teachers to model how to use these tools effectively.

Lessons learned from teacher-librarian partnerships will equip students to be successful learners beyond the school setting.
